Event Details:

Sunday, July 27, 2025 - Tuesday, July 29, 2025

Location

Addis Ababa
Ethiopia

The 2nd UN Food Systems Summit Stocktake (UNFSS+4), co-hosted by Ethiopia and Italy, will convene from July 27-29, 2025, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. This year's summit marks four years since the 2021 UN Food Systems Summit, and serves as a platform for reflecting on progress, strengthening collaboration, and mobilizing investments to accelerate food systems transformation–with a focus on sustainable, inclusive, and resilient approaches. The first day of the summit will be an Action Day (July 27), followed by two days for the official Stocktake (July 28-29). Blue Food Assessment research, co-led by the Center for Ocean Solutions, helped to bring aquatic foods into the first UNFSS. Four years later, the Center will continue to engage with discussions on food systems transformation at the Summit as part of the Aquatic Blue Food Coalition, a multistakeholder group focused on fulfilling the potential of SDG14 (Life Below Water) for global food security, a resilient climate, and thriving biodiversity.
