Research Assistant

Serena Rivera-Korver

Serena Rivera-Korver is a research assistant with the Center for Ocean Solutions, where she supports an analysis of how blue food systems are represented in nationally determined contributions (NDCs). Her work helps inform a structured dataset and policy outputs for international climate engagement ahead of COP30.

Serena is a master’s student at Stanford University, pursuing a dual degree in Environment and Resources and International Policy. With a background in venture capital and climate finance, she is passionate about aligning global capital flows with equitable and science-based climate solutions. Her interest in ocean and coastal systems began during her undergraduate studies at Duke, where she conducted marine research and supported carbon neutrality planning for the Duke Marine Lab. Serena is excited to contribute to the Center’s mission and to help elevate the role of blue foods in global climate policy.
