Ocean Design Fellow discusses virtual reality and coral reefs with Forbes

Stanford's Center for Ocean Solutions and d.school Ocean Design Fellow Dr. Erika Woolsey was featured this week on Forbes discussing how innovative technology is advancing her work on coral reefs.

"Oceans and virtual reality (VR) are an incredible combination – this technology can really make it feel like you’re floating underwater," explained Woolsey. "Few people get to travel beneath the waves and many perceive the ocean as scary or even empty. How can we protect what we don’t see or think about? In my experience, seeing leads to understanding, which leads to caring and action."
