Margaret (Marg) Daly is a Research Assistant with the Center for Ocean Solutions working on issues related to illegal unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing. With the COS team, she is developing a tool to enable seafood companies and retailers to assess risk of IUU product moving through seafood supply chains.

Generally, Marg is interested in the intersection between ocean policy and science. She is a SIGF fellow pursuing a Ph.D. in Environmental Fluid Mechanics in the department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. She studies hydrodynamics in kelp forests and the impacts on marine species with field observations.

Before coming to Stanford she graduated from Cornell University as a Rawlings Research Scholar with a B.S. in Earth Sciences. In her free time, Marg loves to travel and explore new places, scuba dive, ski, and listen to folk americana music by a campfire.
